Selling housing Jackpot style

Yesterday i read a woman in southern Austria want to sell her 4,305-square-foot luxury villa/house but couldn't find a buyer for about half a year.. well the villa is value about $1 million.. so i guess at this economic downtime its very hard to find one hahahaha anyway when she couldn't find a buyer she decided to raffle it off at a website. Now as at December last year she raise nearly $1,280,000 (990,000 euro), she sell the tickets at $128 (99 euro) each and so far sell 9k+ tickets already. It seeems she got more than what the actual price for the villa lolz..an Austrian, was picked as the lucky winner of the home in Austria's southern province of Carinthia during a drawing in the southern city of Klagenfurt.

I wonder if its legal to do that in Malaysia?? lolz coz its a new idea to sell off your house.. i myself would buy a tickets for RM50 - RM100 for a chance to win a house.. and i guess a lot of people also would buy and if 100+ people buy your tickets you get RM100k already hahahaha

  1. very good question and very interesting case. Since your wife works in a bank, perhaps she can start asking there.

  2. i dun think the bank can handle this kind of things, so far banks only give out loans and this involve our legal system.. have to ask a lawyer on this case

  3. Do you need an approval or a license to sell something in cyberspace? I don't think so... I think you CAN organize a raffle in cyberspace... and it's up to the owner to transfer his/her property to anyone "lucky" enough to win such lucky draw. It can be done here... siapa mau cuba?
